2018 Women's Park Scholastic Book Fair & Family Night - May 21st  - May 25th

Back By Popular Demand! Come get your summer books at a discount, while helping raise funds for the park. 

The in-person spring 2018 Scholastic Book Fair & Fun Event presented by the Women's Park Advisory Council runs daily 

from May 21nd to the 25th from 10am - 7pm each day at At Women’s Park Field House with a scheduled family

'Fun Event' party on the Thursday the 24th. 


Online information to come. You will be able to purchase great books for adults and kids at a discount, all for a great cause.
Proceeds go to providing supplies and items for the kids educational programs at the park. If you would like to volunteer to help,

Sounding Bronzeville's Community Court Theater - Birds, Bees and Butterflies
The Chicago Women's Park and Garden feature an array of beautiful trees and urban creatures. Showcase a community theater comprised of 
some of the living organisms residing in the corridor, which will be played by movement artists. Guest will be invited to take part in the live 
performance by singing, dancing and creating arts and crafts.

The South Loop Beer & Cider Fest will consist of one afternoon session from 4:00pm – 7:30pm (3pm entry for 
VIP Guests). It will offer an impressive array (over 100+) of beer and hard ciders from Illinois and beyond. 
In addition to the sampling of craft beers, attendees can purchase food and enjoy live music

enjoy a family friendly night under the stars exploring the cosmos and indulging in s'mores over the campfire. 
Bring a blanket, your telescope and binoculars, and be ready to enjoy a fun night at Women's Park. We will have 
volunteer astronomy from 'The Chicago Astronomer'with giant telescopes & expertise to help out. 

Pre-telescope activities to be determined at future date - We will have a campfire roaring and a s'mores building station on the stage area.

Women's Park now features 400 piece medium block sets for the indoor playground area and for use during open play hours,
Kiddie College, special events, and summer programs. Come check it out, ask park attendee for location of the 4 mobile play

HOW 2018 Personal Hygiene Drive at Women's Park Field House through February

'Housing Opportunity for Women' 2018 Hygiene Drive Collection Box at Women’s Park & Gardens Field House all of February. 

Now through February 28th, you can help families in need in the Chicago area community by dropping off personal care items at the Women’s Park & Gardens Field House as part of the Housing Opportunities For Women personal care drive.

In the Field House lobby, you will find a collection box where you can donate full-size, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and paste, dental floss, as well as sanitary products to empower HOW clients.

​Since 1983, HOW has been a leader in permanent solutions to homelessness, empowering women, children and families to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.

 Annually one of Chicago Park District’s most popular Field Houses, Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens is host to over 70 programs

Adult fitness, Early Childhood, and Youth programs. Most winter programs start the week of January 8, 2018  and run through the week of March 12, 2018.

After a great inaugural event in 2016, The South Loop Beer & Cider Fest is back at Women's Park on July 29th, 2017, 
and with partial proceeds benefitting Women's Park & Gardens Advisory Council.  

The South Loop Beer & Cider Fest will consist of one afternoon session from 4:00pm – 7:30pm 
(3pm entry for VIP Guests). It will offer an impressive array of beer and hard ciders from Illinois and beyond. 
In addition to the sampling of craft beers, attendees can purchase food and enjoy live music and craft

The in-person spring 2017 Scholastic Book Fair & Fun Event presented by the Women's Park Advisory Council runs daily 

from May 22nd to the 26th from 10am - 7pm each day at At Women’s Park Field House with a scheduled family

'Fun Event' party on the Thursday the 25th. 


Online information to come. You will be able to purchase great books for adults and kids at a discount, all for a great cause.
Proceeds go to providing supplies and items for the kids educational programs at the park.

Get ready for another fun summer in the parks!  Keep your kids active, engaged, safe and happy this summer, all for a reasonable cost. This year we're celebrating heroes throughout our traditional 6-week day camp, which runs June 26-August 4, 2017.
