The South Loop's best new event of 2016 is back for it's 2nd year. The South Loop Beer & Cider Fest will consist of one afternoon session from 4:00pm – 7:30pm (3pm entry for VIP Guests) in beautful Chicago Women's Park & Gardens. It will offer an impressive array of beer and hard ciders from Illinois and beyond. In addition to the sampling of craft beers, attendees can purchase food, and enjoy live music and craft beer-centric activities. Partial Funds to Chicago Women's Park.

Urban Forestry 101 at Chicago Women's Park & Gardens Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Urban Forestry 101 is fun and educational for youth, adults, and families. Through games and activities, you will gain a better understanding of why trees are essential to cities. The program will also include a guided walk around the park, an introduction to tree identification, and a chance to independently practice identifying trees. After this class, you will be able to recognize some of the more common tree species in Chicago, and will have the skills to identify unfamiliar trees in the city.
The class will begin at the Fieldhouse entrance and be conducted outside.

Chicago Women's Park is fielding a team! Participants ages 3-5 will "get ready, set, and go!" in the Mighty Munchkin Marathon. This is an outdoor nature program where families can enjoy the park together. We provide animal experts that bring a variety of live animals like frogs, snakes, birds, and of course, turtles. We also have musicians come and sing family friendly music to eager crowds. A star feature is nature free play which is proven to help children developmentally as they build forts out of sticks, touch pine
cones or smell cinnamon bark.
