Description - A 1 hour collaboration with the Chicago Park District and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events,
the Grant Park Music Festival brings free string quartet and choral performances to cultural centers, parks, and community venues
throughout Chicago. Join us in your neighborhood park for a free, family-friendly outdoor concert with a little something for
everyone to enjoy - from classical to tango, jazz, and modern music!

The Chicago Women's Park and Garden feature an array of beautiful trees and urban creatures. Showcase a community theater comprised of
some of the living organisms residing in the corridor, which will be played by movement artists. Guest will be invited to take part in the live
performance by singing, dancing and creating arts and crafts.

Urban Forestry 101 at Chicago Women's Park & Gardens Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Fee: Free Age Range: Any
Urban Forestry 101 is fun and educational for youth, adults, and families. Through games and activities, you will gain a better understanding of why trees are essential to cities. The program will also include a guided walk around the park, an introduction to tree identification, and a chance to independently practice identifying trees. After this class, you will be able to recognize some of the more common tree species in Chicago, and will have the skills to identify unfamiliar trees in the city.
The class will begin at the Fieldhouse entrance and be conducted outside.

This is an outdoor nature program where families can enjoy the park together. We provide animal experts that bring a variety of live animals like frogs, snakes, birds, and of course, turtles. We also have musicians come and sing family friendly music to eager crowds. A star feature is nature free play which is proven to help children developmentally as they build forts out of sticks, touch pine
cones or smell cinnamon bark.

A princess, who is fleeing the castle in disguise, crosses paths with three minstrels on the road for adventure. Their stories inteweave with those of a
hypnotized bandit, a desperate palace guard, and the mysterious masked figure known only as the Rabid Bat. The new folk tale combines live music,
swordplay, and magic to spin an enchanting hour of theatre out of a summer night.

renowned Cello-Oud artiste from Syria Kinan Abou-Afach and Oud-Frame Drum artiste Ronnie Malley from Palestine for a
